Liam Flynn

Barrel form, in whitewashed ash, designed for the Ecology, Mythology, Technology, Craft Council of Ireland exhibition, Kilkenny, October 2007 which then travelled to Farmleigh Gallery, Dublin, Summer 2008. Flynn was born in Limerick. He is self-taught, coming from a long history of woodworking. He refuses to let the grain of the wood dictate the line of the vessel, as most of the vessels are either ebonised of fumed.
