Denis Kenny, owner and maker leads the team at Ceadogán. For the past 25 years he has been committed to the craft of rug-making and during that time has amassed a lifetime of experience in working with wool and silks. His passion for design, experimentation and quality is tufted into each and every rug.
The Ceadogán Team is focused, highly skilled, very experienced and dedicated to pairing the traditional values of remarkable craftsmanship and contemporary design.
Taking great pride in keeping things local, Denis enjoys interacting with his suppliers face to face, having a hands-on relationship with his clients and working closely with the various designers who have been involved with the company over the years. It is this interest in people and commitment to excellent service that allows Ceadogán to operate and grow in an ever changing market.
- At Ceadogán we are committed to a tradition of fine craftsmanship and focus on the detail in the execution of each individual piece that we produce. The Ceadogán ethos is driven by a spirit of collaboration and of innovation. While most of the rugs and wall-hangings made at our workshops are in 100% pure wool – a unique blend of New Zealand merino and lambs wool – we also work extensively with silks and also with bamboo, hemp and paper. The company continues to develop new techniques in order to achieve aesthetic expression as in the case of ‘Suaimhneas’ designed by Katie Hession where a specific texture was demanded by the brief.
